Janis Joplin Best Buddies

Janis Joplin's best friend was Peggy Caserta. They met in 1966 when Janis was just starting out in her music career.

Their friendship blossomed quickly, and they became inseparable. Peggy was there for Janis through thick and thin, supporting her career and being a shoulder to cry on during tough times.

Peggy wrote a memoir about their friendship called "I Ran Into Some Trouble," which was published in 2018. The book details their adventures together, from their early days in San Francisco to Janis' rise to fame. Peggy also talks about Janis' struggles with addiction and depression.

Janis' relationship with Peggy was complex, as it was both romantic and platonic at times. But one thing is for sure: Peggy was a loyal and supportive friend who loved Janis unconditionally.
